Ericsson WCDMA 3G winfiol command

Many users have requested to post Ericsson Node b /3G commands. Here is the list of some basic 3G /node b commands. You may find them helpful if you know them.

WCDMA / 3G/ Node B Basic commands

First of all you must know the command of how to restart Node B.

1. start acc 0 manualrestart
after executing the command system will ask
are you sure
you have to press y
then you have to key Alt+f5 to go in TTY Mode i.e. in the output window.
There are different method to restart Node B. A list will pop up in the output window to select which type of restart you want to give.
Select 0 or whatever type of restart you want.
I generally give input
0,0 and 1
It takes less time in restart.

2. st sync
This command is useful to know the status of the media. This command will output the status of the sync signal whether they are enabled or disabled. If they are enabled there is no fault of media otherwise there may be possibility of media error.

3. st ima
This command is used to know the status of the pcm if you are having pcm as a media. If your Node B has three pcm it will show the status of all the three pcm signal. If one of them is disabled then that pcm is down.

4. cvcu
This is used to know the cv on which Node B is working. If this doesnt show the latest cv then you can reload the Node B on that cv by cvset command.

5. cvset cv_name
By this command you can reload your Node B on the cv that you want to be used.

6. cvls
cvls command is used to display all the cv that have been created in the Node B. By this list of cv you can know what other users have created on the Node b.

I have tried to explain some basic ericsoon 3G/ Node B commands. If you know more commands put them in the comment section.

If you have any query regarding ericsson Node b commands you can comment me.

ZTE NEC Minilink alarms and status

NEC IPASOLINK alarms and status

In this post I am detailing the various alarms in ZTE NEC Minilink used in telecom systems. I have this by searching a lot so I think this would help you a lot in diagnosing the minilink problem.

Minilink NEC alarms and their description

1. ODU alarm - ODU hardware failure

2. TX power - TX power is lower than 3 dB

3. RX level - the reception level is lower than -72 dBm

4. ODU/CPU cable open- this alarm occurs due to the fault in the IF Cable or in the IF connector.

5. Module alarm - this alarm occurs when the IDU becomes faulty.

6. High BER - this alarm is generated due to the degradation of the radio signals. This alarm generally occurs in the bad weather conditions due to rain, clouds. This alarm can also be there due to the misalignment of the hop antenna.

7. LOF - Loss of frame at radio side

8. IF Cable short - IF Cable between IDU and ODU becomes short due to the water droplets.

9. RDI - RDI indication reception alarm on modem port.

10. UAE - this alarm indicates the occurence of an unavailable state.

11. TDM/AMR range mismatch - this alarm is generated when there is mismatch between the no of E1 used on both sides.

12. Frame ID - this alarm occurs when Frame ID is different on the receiver side modem.

13. ODU power supply - this alarm is generated when the power supply unit of the ODU becomes faulty.

I have listed the main occurs which occurs during the maintenance of the minilink. If you have ever occurred a different alarm just let me know. I will explain that also.
