BSNL ftth is growing day by day in the telecom industry as it is best in the market. People face difficulty when FTTH not working. So here I am describing some basic problems of the BSNL ftth and their solutions. 

Possible cause for FTTH not working 

1. First reason may be that the fiber connectivity may be broken.

2. Other possible cause may be the configuration issue of the ONT.

 

3. Check also your network settings as specified by the BSNL at the time of installation, may be your network settings have been changed by someone else. 

4. One reason may also be there that the media connectivity from the far end that is the exchange end is broken in-between customer modem and the gateway. 

5. Sometimes the problem may be with the particular site your check regularly and other sites are working. You may check for other websites.

 

6. Last reason may be you have not paid bill of the service and BSNL has disconnected the service. So check for the payment. 

PON lamp indication

PON light red or no light on it, there are two possible case of it. Either the fiber is break somewhere or the power coming in the fiber is Low or high than the threshold. 

PON light  blinking, then the possible cause can be configuration issue of the ONT or OLT. 

If PON led is green stable then FTTH is in working condition.

FTTH speed problems

If you are facing speed issue in the BSNL FTTH then do the following steps to check

• Check for DNS settings it should be  primary DNS 61.1.1.1 and 61.0.3.3
• MTU size is necessary step to check it should be between 1400-1500. The best possible value for the MTU size for BSNL FTTH is 1460.
• Fiber power for better speed is between -14 dB to -25 dB. You cannot check the fiber power directly you should get it checked by the engineer that visit your area in case of failure

Note: sometimes just restarting your modem can resolve the problem for you. 

Data light is not showing

If your data light is not glowing then the problem may be in the configuration of the modem. Then you will need to configure your ftth modem.

1. Login ip for netlink modem is 192.168.1.1

username: admin

password: stdONU101

Service type : softswitch SIP

SIP register address: 10.187.6.12

Subscribe: Enabled

Outbound Proxy : Enabled

Outbound proxy address: 10.187.6.12

SIP DOMAIN: 10.187.6.12

BSNL FTTH complain

You can book bsnl ftth complain on the bsnl selfcare portal. Click on the register complaint option shown on the left side. Select bharatfiber voice and broadband. Enter your telephone number alotted and select complain type. click on submit complain and your complain is registered. 

In short if your BSNL FTTH is not working first of all raise online complain using the bsnl selfcare portal. Then do check my suggestions. Even if the problem is not solved wait for the engineer after raising the complain.

5. You will have to provide mobile number on which you will receive OTP after the form has been filled by you.

7. Enter the OTP received on your contact number. 

8. After entering the OTP click on submit button and your application will be submitted with an application number. Note down the application number shown as it will be required to check the status of the e-pass applied. 

Terms and conditions:

1. The applicant will have to undergo 14 days mandatory quarantine.

2. The applicant should not be from any containment zone.

3. On entering the state you will need to submit medical certificate.

How to Surrender landline phone online BSNL/MTNL

Surrender Landline phone service

Landline services are provided by MTNL in delhi and mumbai metrocity. BSNL is the main landline service provider in the rest of India. Many people ask how to surrender landline phone online in delhi, mumbai and other parts of the country. Online surrender facility is not available at this time, you can download the surrender form from the official website of BSNL/MTNL whatever you need to surrender your landline phone service. 

BSNL Landline surrender 

To surrender BSNL landline you need following documents

1. Surrender form duly filled by the subscriber 

2. Last paid bill receipt

3. Identity Proof of the subscriber in which name Landline service is working

you can download landline surrender form from bsnl official site BSNL landline surrender form. 

After filling the surrender form you need to get it signed from the Sub divisional Engineer (SDE) of the concerned telephone exchange. Then submit the form to the billing counter of the customer service center of the telephone exchange. Take receipt of the surrender form. It will take around 3-4 days after your submission of surrender form of landline service. 

Surrender Landline phone in Mumbai / Delhi i.e. MTNL

If you want to surrender landline phone in Delhi or mumbai you will have to visit  MTNL telephone exchange of the locality of your area. To surrender MTNL landline service you need the following documents. 

1. Surrender form duly filled by the subscriber 

2. Last paid bill receipt

3. Identity Proof of the subscriber in which name Landline service is working

Procedure of surrender is same as mentioned above in BSNL.

BSNL broadband surrender 

To surrender BSNL broadband service you will have to visit the telephone exchange of your locality. Take broadband service disconnection form from the counter. Fill the details you know you dont need to fill all the details, put your signature in the form. Get it signed from the Sub Divisional Engineer (SDE) of the telephone exchange. Then submit the form to the same counter from where you have taken it. 

BSNL Landline surrender refund

When you surrender the landline service/phone, the security deposit you have paid at the time of installation should be refunded by the BSNL. You can ask from the Accounts Officer (TR) how much security money you will get after the surrender of landline service. It will be processed in the next six months. I know it is a long time but refund of security deposit in the BSNL takes this much of time. Refund amount will be what you have paid at the time of installation. At the time of surrender you will have to deposit the telephone set provided by the BSNL. 

BSNL Landline Transfer 

Bsnl Landline transfer process is hectic. You will have to fill the shifting form details. The process includes deletion of the telephone then it will be again created in a new place subject to availability or feasibility of the connection. Sometimes it is not possible to provide landline connection at the new location. It which case BSNL Landline transfer is not possible.

FTTH installation is done by private vendors. FTTH installation charge is around 4000 rupees. FTTH installation consists of modem, phone and OLT.

BSNL FTTH installation 

FTTH installation charge is around 2000 rs. Installation is done by private vendors working under BSNL. In this customer will get a CPE called ONT (Optical Network Termination) which consists of 4*100 Mbps Ethernet ports and 2 normal telephone ports. Customer will have backup unit of 4 hours. The unit input will be AC Supply and output will be 12 v DC which connects ONT.

There are two schemes available:

1. ONT on Rent: 99 rs per month and 500 rs security deposit

2. ONT purchased which cost around 2500 in the market.

 You can check FTTH usage on the bsnl selfcare portal. You will have to register in the selfcare portal and add your FTTH connection details. Then you can see on daily basis how much data you use.

I have seen many people who ask for how i can transfer my ration card. Ration card transfer procedure is very tough as they do not easily do that. I have visited the government portal of uttarakhand to see the procedure. I am sharing you the same. 

Procedure for local transfer of ration card in uttarakhand

1. Applicant must be from the same local body i.e municipality or same Gram panchayat. 

2. Applicant submit the application to DSO/GPO.

3. GPO verify the details from the record register and updates the record. 

4. Clerk issues a new ration card to the applicant.

Procedure for transfer ration card between Gram panchayat

1. First of all the applicant need a surrender certificate of his ration card. 

2. After getting his surrender certificate he has to submit the surrender certificate to the DSO of his new location and apply for a new ration card. 

3. Applicant should attach supporting documents. Then he should submit his application to the DSO.

Supporting documents required for ration card transfer

1.  Surrender certificate

2. Address Proof (Electricity / telephone bill)

3. Ration card of previous residence

4. Certificate of residence address by Head of Department in case of Government servants.

For the ration card, State government is responsible. So the application format can be downloaded from the food department of that state government web portal.

Many central govt employees have opted for treatment in government CGHS Scheme. CGHS is abbreviated for Central government health scheme. But they find it difficult to make online payment for CGHS card. Here i am briefing how you can easily pay online your CGHS contribution.

Steps for Online Payment 

1. Open the website URL  www.bharatkosh.gov.in or you can click here  .

2. Now click on quick payment option.

3. Select health and family welfare under Ministry/Department.

4. Now select Pension contribution for CGHS Card.

5. Input payment amount in the box and click on Add.

6. Click next then enter depositor details like name, address, mobile no and email.

7. Click Next.

8. Select one of the payment gateway shown. You can select any of them no matter which bank debit/credit card you are using. Select the payment gateway which show high success rate. 

9. Now select your bank debit card. Then you will be redirected to the payment gateway. Fill up your ATM details. 

10. On the next page it will ask for OTP received on your mobile no to finally submit the payment. 

11. Enter the OTP received. Now the payment successful screen will pop up. You can take print out of the payment receipt.

How to apply online for driving license in Uttarakhand 

Now in India you can apply for driving license online. Government has started online portal to apply for driving license. In the past it is very irritating and time consuming to make driving license and you have to pay extra charge. But now it is easy if you apply online for driving license.

First of all open the above link. Now select your state in which you have to apply for driving license. 

On the next page in the left side you will find apply online button  click on New learner license in the subsection. There are following steps in the online application

1. FILL APPLICATION DETAILS LL

2. UPLOAD DOCUMENTS 

3. FEE PAYMENT 

4. VERIFY THE PAY STATUS

5. PRINT THE RECEIPT

6. LL SLOT BOOK

Now click on continue button. Select applicant does not hold driving / learner license 
Fill the application form. Fill all the details Name, father name, address, mobile number email address, date of birth, qualification, class of vehicle and so on.

1. MCWG  select this option if you are applying for two wheeler like bike or scooty

2. LMV  select this option if you are applying for four wheeler like car. 

After filling up the online form click submit. 

Next step is to upload your documents for address proof and age proof. You can pay your fee online after uploading the documents. 

Dont forget to print your e-receipt. You will need this receipt when you go to your RTO Office to appear for learning license test on the date printed on your acknowledgement. 

Visit your RTO office on the date mentioned. First RTO staff will check your documents which you have uploaded at the time of online application. Take with you the original copies of all the documents you have uploaded. 

Now 10 minutes online test for learning license will be conducted. The test comprises basic questions related to transport department like warning signs, caution signs, speed, parking etc. It is required to obtain 60 % marks in the online test to qualify for the learner license. 

If you pass the online test, then RTO staff will give you your learner license copy. You can also print your learner driving license online from the portal. If you fail in the test you can reappear for the learner license test in the next week after payment of 50 rupees. 

Once you get your learner license you have 6 months time for practicing the vehicle you have applied for. After 6 months your learner license will expire. You need to apply for permanent license after 2 or 3 months. You can also apply online for permanent license. 

How to apply for permanent driving license online

Visit the saarthi portal and apply for the permanent license. You will be asked for the learner license number printed on the learning license you own. After applying make online payment of fee as fixed by the RTO of uttarkhand. 

You will have to appear for the driving test of the vehicle class you have applied for. Give driving test at the place mentioned in your acknowledgement. After passing in the driving test RTO office will provide you the permanent driving license.

BSNL modem configuration

How to configure BSNL modem TPLINK

This post is for those users who wish to configure their TPLINK BSNL modem for internet. In this tutorial i will show you step by step guide to configure your BSNL modem. 

Steps for BSNL modem configuration

1. First of all go to network settings, select change adapter configuration. Then select properties now double click on tcp/ip version 4. Check button obtain IP address automatically and check obtain DNS server automatically.

2. Open your browser like Internet explorer or Google Chrome. Enter url as 192.168.1.1 and press enter key. You should know the fact that for opening this page you do not need internet connection.

3. You will be asked for username and password. 

                   default username:               admin

                   default password:                admin

This address will open the default page of your modem which show the status of the modem. 

4. Click on interface setup on top of the page. 

5. Now enter the following parameter as below:

           VPI     0

           VCI    35

           Enter username and password provided from BSNL exchange. 

           Check PPPoE as encapsulation.

            Do not change other settings. 

6. Reboot your modem with current settings. Now you are connected to the internet. 

How to configure TPLINK BSNL modem wifi settings

1. Click on Interface setup > Wireless

2. Check Activated on access point settings.

3. Type your wireless network name in SSID.

4. Select WPA2-PSK in authentication type. 

5. Now type your wifi password in the box pre-shared key.
