It this post I am going to tell you about the ericsson bts 2G commands. I am explaining the commands which are most useful on daily operation and maintenance purpose. These commands are very useful to sort out the problem in the 2G mobile bts.
ERICSSON 2G COMMAND LIST
1. rlcrp:cell=all;
This command is used to see the status of all the sites in the network whether the sites are working or not.
2. rlcrp:cell=sdr001a;
To see the status of a particular site. In this example I am seeing the status of the site name id sdr001a.
3. rxtcp:moty=rxotg, cell=sdr001a;
This command is used to view the TG no of a particular site whose site id has been written in the command.
4. dtstp:dip=86rbl2;
It is useful to check the pcm working status of the site. If the state in this command output window is WO then the pcm for the site whose TG no. is 86 is working. If the state in this command output window is ABL then the pcm for the site whose TG no. is 86 is break i.e. the pcm for the site is not working and the maintenace team needs to find out the fault in the pcm path.
The command output window has been shown:
DIGITAL PATH STATE
DIP TYPE STATE LOOP TSLOTL DIPEND FAULT SECTION
105RBL2 IEX ABL AIS
END
5. rxasp:mo=rxotg-105;
This command is useful to see the active alarms on the site whose TG value is 105. There are various alarms in the site.
Some of the alarms are permanent fault, oml fault, BTS INT affected and so on.

6. rxcdp:mo=rxotg-105;
By using this command you can view the radio receiver configuration data to check the particular sector is working, or the site is just about to come.
There are three states. 1. BLOCKED
2. CONFIG
3. UNUSED
If the command output window shows BLOCKED then the site is down or not working.
If the command output window shows CONFIG then the site or the particular sector hardware is working.
If the command output window shows UNUSED the site is about to working in few seconds or a minute.
7. rxmfp:mo=rxotg-26,subord,faulty;
It is used to know the fault code for the hardware in the rbs bts. Fault code examples are 2A-12 , 1A-19, 2A-19 and so on. There is a software decoder which decodes these fault code and provides the fault details and solution for the faults.
I have explained in short some basic commands of WINFIOL for the operation and maintenance of ERICSSON 2G BTS.
